村林だめな人だった

走攻守ですべてやらかし、全面的に今日の戦犯となった村林。緊張してたとか間違ったとかなら次回から注意すれば済む話だが、彼の場合は違うタイプの人なのではないかという疑問が。

いつもうっかり判断ミスをする選手はいるものだ。例えば島内とかは大分大人しくなってはいるものの、いまだにセカンドランナーで塁上に居る時に外野へライナーが上がるとハーフウェイで打球を確認してから走り出したりすることがある、２アウトなのに。

村林は１アウトで一塁ベースに居た。エンドランで村林が走って田中はセカンドゴロ。セカンドは二塁送球を諦めてファーストでアウトを取る。この時、二塁へスライディングした村林にはセカンド塁審のセーフポーズが見えていなかったかもしれない。それにしても村林がアウトだと勘違いして一塁方面に戻っていきタッチアウトされたのは田中がアウトになってから、やや時間がたって落ち着いてからの事だ。もし１アウトでゲッツー（自分もアウト）チェンジだと思い込んでいたのなら相手チームの守備陣が一向にベンチに帰る様子がないことはわかっていたはずだ。なので、前の山崎がアウトになったことを忘れてゲッツーで２アウトという勘違いでベンチに戻ろうとしたのかもしれない。いずれにせよ雰囲気は明らかに変だったから審判に確認すればよいだけの話である。

そして守備。
１アウトランナー１、２塁の場面。ゴロ自体はセカンド上くらいの位置だったので追いついたのはよかったと思う。しかし、その後は確実にセカンドベースを踏みに行くのではなくゲッツーを狙った。踏んでから送球ではなく、送球の動作の中で踏み出す側でない右足でベースを軽くタッチに行こうとして空振りした形だった。結果、オールセーフという最悪のケース。セカンドだけでもアウトにしておけば２アウト１、３塁。ノーアウト満塁とどっちが得点確率が多いかは言うまでもない。いつだったかのセカンド守備中に見せたバックトスの悪送球同様に判断力に欠けているとしか言いようがない。大差で勝っているときや、あと１点で負けるときは華麗なファインプレイを狙っても良いだろう。どちらの場合もセカンドを一つ確実にアウトにしていれば失点の可能性がかなり減ったのは間違いないのだ。単に優先順位をまちがって、不可能なファインプレイを実行しようという判断に問題があると言えよう。

そして攻撃
これは上記の二つの大きなミスを犯したことによる心理的弱さがでたのだろう。
ランナー１、２塁の場面で２球続けてバントを小フライにしてしまう。本当はベンチがアウト覚悟で３バント指示すればよかったのだが何を思ったのが強行でセカンドゴロゲッツーという最悪の結果。先日スクイズを一発で決めたことによって「バント上手いだけ三好より良し」という印象は消えてしまった。

これらが経験が浅いことだけが原因なら挽回もできるだろう。ただ先述した「野球判断」とでもいえば良いのだろうか？満塁で前進守備はホームに投げてゲッツー、とか決まりはできるだろうけれど、瞬時の判断は練習でどうなるもんでもないと思う。やはり野球判断がダメな銀二は走塁時にはかなりポカをしたし、ランダウンプレイなど「とっさの判断」では今でも明らかに馬鹿なプレイをやったりもする。
しかし銀次や島内はポジション的にあまり「とっさの判断」が少ないことと、何より圧倒的な身体能力によってそれらのミスを許してもらっているところがあるのだ。では村林はどうか？
捕球とスローイングは年齢のわりに成熟していると言える。しかし打撃がゼロで、あの判断力の守備では一軍では使えないよね。
だって元々、村林の立ち位置は長打や３割はないけれど確実で華麗な守備でミスをしない、という期待をされてのものだと思うのだ。
なので、「島内風ウッカリ屋」の素質を持つ村林が訓練によって280.ショートでかなりエラーなしでファインプレイ連発選手になれるかどうかはわからないが、少なくとも茂木の代わりに来期レギュラーという事はなさそうである。

さて、茂木がそろそろ上がってくると言われているが、目的は「一軍の雰囲気を味わせて」なんてわけはなくセカンドを守らせるためだろう。二軍でもやっていたし藤田を抹消したのは山崎と茂木で二塁をやらせるためではないか。
ただ問題は、茂木がコンバートするとショートがいないということ。ロッテのように藤岡がいなくとも平沢がいるもん、というレベルではなく守備固めの村林、三好、西巻しかいないのだ。これじゃあ守備に目をつぶってショート茂木で、セカンド藤田の方がマシに思えるくらいだ。
ＦＡやトレードでは若くてまともなショートは撮れないし、外国人も同じだろう。ドラフトで小園、根尾とか言われているけど当たるかどうかの問題と木製バットに対応できていないので即戦力とはいかないだろう。守備にしても西巻があそこまで左右に弱いのはプロの打球だからと思われるし。

そして外野のふがいなさも茂木に関係してくる。田中、島内は来期も決まったようなものだろう。普通ならペゲーロがいないならオコエがライトで決まりといえるが、ご存知のようにまったく打てないし戦力になっていない。八百板は調子の悪いときの銀次のようでパワーと長打がなく守備もスーパーではない。となると茂木のコンバートが空いている外野になる可能性もあるのでは。

ともかく打てる選手がいないのだから打力が際立っている茂木を生かすことが最優先となれば茂木のコンバートが最優先されてチームが変わっていくという事になるのだと思う。

なので具体策で言えば、まず外国人。外野手が見つかりそうなら茂木は内野。無論、オコエがよさそうなら同じ。

空いたショートは村林、三好で埋めるのではなく他球団から埋もれているベテランショートを連れてきて２年ほど間に合わせ、彼らはサポートに回る。あまりないと思うが西巻が練習で守備範囲と送球の問題を克服できれば西巻。打撃では一番だし。

茂木のコンバート先は「とりあえず藤田」がいるセカンドが濃厚。最終回に守備固めで藤田か渡辺を出せばよいから。

山下はどこが認められているの？
送りバントがキャッチャー前へ。セカンドに投げるのは当然。間に合ったから。なのに悪送球。盗塁の時と違ってフォースアウトなんだから野手の正面ど真ん中に投げればいいのにワンバウンド。この人もうまともにセカンドに投げられないんじゃないの？そして堀内が出てもファーストで出場。山下の打撃にそんなに皆さん惚れ込んでるのかねえ？解説でも「体が早く開きすぎ」と何度も言われていたけど、投手がボールをリリースする前に既に顔や体が正面向いてるもんなあ。特にインコースなんてバットコントロールできないから絶対打てないように思うんですが、プロが見ると違うんですかね。
やけに打てる捕手というイメージが先行したが、現状では「めったに打たない」嶋より見るべきところがない捕手だと思うんですけどねえ。若いからいいってもんじゃない。

ちょっとしか見てないんでわからないのだが、堀内をメインに起用したらどうか。ま、明日は岸なんで「つまんねえ」嶋なんだろうけれど、嶋は起用したって来期に何も関係ないからね。
ただあすの起用もたのしみではある。
オコエを出さないのであれば八百板だけれど、みれば八百板だすくらいなら岡島だって同じくらいだから。いや、ここまで一軍に置いているのなら使うところがあるという意味だろうからね。意外と涌井にはオコエや矢尾板より岡島が良いのかもしれない。
