レフト島内はもはや聖域ではない

昨日の勝利が台無しだ。
とはいえ、劇的な逆転勝利と言うのは王道ではないわけで、本来ならリードしつつ点をやらないで普通に勝つのが理想で、それができていないのは問題があるのかもしれない。
誰が残るかと言われた外野争い。
田中と島内は決定であと一枠、ライトが誰か？と思われていた。しかもブラッシュが外野とすれば守備固めの一人だけ。
田中の離脱もあったが何だかんだで辰巳が定位置を取るような感じだ。しかも誰も機能できなかった２番という位置で活躍できている。打てるのはもちろん、四球も選べるのが大きい。

今日もなんでブラッシュをライトで起用せずに実績のない小郷をスタメンにしたのか不明だが。ブラッシュは守備に難があるうえに「疲れちゃうとだめ」という持ち味があるらしいので、たまにはＤＨにしなければいけないのだろう。ＤＨ今江の方がチャンスが拡大するような気がするのだが。

今の辰巳と比べればオコエに出番がないのは当然ともいえるが、じゃあ島内はどうなのか？別に必ずスタメンにする必要があるのだろうか？しかも不調で打順を下げられたがブラッシュの後に入れられたので島内、小郷、堀内と自動アウト候補が揃っちゃって無理に勝負しなくともよくなってしまっている。
これだけ打撃が不振なら打てないオコエと代えても守備の分だけマシなような気もしてくる。
何より、山下のタイムリー？と思った時の走塁の下手さ。え？まだそこ？というくらいのスタートの遅さ。そしてスライディングの下手さ。ストライク返球ではなくやや逸れたのに、捕手の動きをまったく見ずに素直に足からスライディングしている。回り込んで手から行くとか判断できなかったのか。ま、元々、野球脳がないといわれているから仕方ないか。ただ、肉体改造してからあきらかに足が遅くなっているのは確かだろう。
何も二軍に落とせというのではない。また劇的な活躍もするだろう。なにも聖域みたいにレフト島内と決めつける必要はないんじゃないかと思うだけだ。小郷を育てたいならレフト小郷だっていいじゃないの。
ブラッシュを休ませるんなら島内だって休ませてあげなよ、という話だ。

また逆転しそうな点差ではあったが西武にはめっぽう弱い森原を出したことで試合は決まったようなものだった。ただソフトバンク戦に向けて森原と西宮しか使わなかったのは良かったのではないか。何とか五分で終えたわけだし。
しかしソフトバンク戦は千賀、高橋礼と苦手が続く。
投手に期待するしかなさそうでもある。
