今日は堀内のタイムリーに尽きる

石橋が５回までで何点取られるか？と後続の中継ぎが抑えられか？だけが注目された試合。
あんのじょう、頓宮ごときに一発を献上して先制点。
楽天打線はバンバンうつ状態ではなかったが満塁までもってきた。
ここで打者は捕手の堀内。
四球連発のK鈴木が初球にストレイク、しかもストレートで来ることは誰でも予想していただろうが。それを迷わず打っていった堀内の度胸は褒められてしかるべき。
嶋ならきっと「押し出し」狙いでど真ん中ストレートも見逃して、挙句の果てに見逃し三振してバットをたたきつけていたのではないだろうか。ま、これは年季の差か。嶋だって昔は自分が打って決めよう、という意思はあったのだろうけれど、いつのまにか「出塁が最も大事」と変化したのではないだろうか。
とはいえ、３割打ったことある捕手なんだから、たまには初球から思い切って振ってほしいように思う。どの投手も「どうせ嶋は初球見逃すでしょ？」という配球してるもんなあ。

石橋に関しては今一つ、「今日は良かったよねえ！」と言えない微妙なヒットや四球が混ざっているけど結果オーライならよいのだろうか。しかし現在の先発の中では最も早い球速のボールを常時なげているという事実もある。先発陣が戻ってきてリリーフに回されるようなことがあった場合は、安易に出てしまう四球が命取りにあるような気がするなあ。

今江は本日、前回の再来か？というゴロエラーをしやがったけれど、その後、良いプレーでゲッツーをお膳立て。試合を決めるホームランまで打ったのでは文句は言えない。
ただ、休み休みじゃないと出られない状態なんかね？ブラッシュの後に今江は非常にはまってたと思えるのだけれど。

しかし交流戦に向けてブラッシュを外野起用しているだろうが守備がペゲーロ以下。
落下点に走って振り向いてとるならいいが、後ろ向きにのろのろ下がって最後は万歳。これって下手な草野球の外野がらるプレイだよねえ。エラーにならなかったからって安心してほしくはない。しかし交流戦でブラッシュなしはありえないからねえ。

銀次と島内が何気に不調。島内は死球選ぶので精いっぱい模様だし、銀次は解説で言っていたがミートできていないから打ち上げていまう、とか。今日のタイムリーもセカンドのエラーじゃね？というギリギリのものだった。二人とも、また覚醒はくるのだろうか。

西武戦は地方球場。塩見はどうなのか。本来は二戦目は古川だが地方球場に強い辛島を前田素子で起用するという手もあるような。
ま、とにかく勝ち越しできたので結果オーライとはいえるのかな。
