プロテクトのはなし
しかし西武側では岸の時と同じように「どうせいらない選手ばかり」とも考えているようだ。確かに多くの投手をプロテクトした残りは西武では「はあ？」というような野手ばかりだし。
開幕前にこんなこと書いても当たるわけもないのだけれど、独自のプロテクトを考えてみた。
ええと２８名ですよね。
投手
則本 岸 辛島 松井 近藤 藤平 小野 池田 青山 高梨 古川 西口
捕手 嶋 石原 堀内 岡島
内野手 茂木 義持 三好 渡邊 山崎 内田 西牧 藤田 渡邊
外野手 島内 田中 オコエ 岩見 アキト
さてプロテクト外しは何も「いらないから持って行ってね」という捨てる感覚ではないだろう。相手のチーム事情で絶対にいらないだろうという選手は敢えて外すのが普通だ。
この例でいえば銀二は西武がとるだろうか？ファーストには山川がいるし、サードには中村もいるし外崎もいる。使いようがないのである。
今江もＦＡで撮った以上簡単に放出できないがサードならまだ中村が上であり、山川のいるファーストを山川を押しのけてまでポジションをとれないだろう。
だからこうした人は無能ではないけれど西武から欲しがられないのだろうと思う。他にも西武が欲しそうな打てる野手を探してみたが、楽天には一人もいないのである。西武は投手が欲しいから投手をプロテクトするだろうが、ここで外した美馬をはじめとする投手はいらないわけではない。ただけがで美馬も福山も安楽も来年もだめかもしれない可能性は高く、プロテクトしなくとも西武側で「丸一年役立たずではな」と勝手に諦める可能性があるのだ。
西武が欲しいのは浅村に代わる強打者。だけど楽天にそんな打者がいたら苦労しないわけで一人もいない。では投手力を充実させようとしても楽天は投手陣をかなりかこうだろう。プロテクト後に残っている投手陣だと
戸倉 濱矢 菊池 今野 菅原 に加えて結果の出ていない鶴田、寺岡などが対象とある可能性があるが、西武としてみれば金をもらって外国人に充てるという方法が確実なのではないか。
岸の場合のように「金銭」ということが主流だと思われるが結果的には安いといっても差し支えないだろう。

らく１０さん、確かにソフトバンク、オリックス、西武は人工芝で楽天のみ天然芝。ずっと人工芝でやってた浅村にとって天然芝は何よりの動機ではなかったかと思いました。
大阪近鉄さん まあ、西武一筋さった浅村が短期間でイーグルスの代表選手になろうとしているわけで、よほど嫌な奴でなければ、全面的に応援されるでしょう。

渡辺二人いるし、クビにした直人は取らないだろう。
炭谷FAで岡田が怪我したから、西武は捕手欲しいでしょ。
外野は鈴木、愛斗と有望株はいるから、アキトは外す。
三好いるか？打撃が壊滅的だし。一応セカンド守れる銀次のほうが上だわ。
寺岡、鶴田は育成だから取られないぞ。
菅原、森原か金銭だと思っている。
