過剰な守備固めより点を取れ

采配は傍から見て「いいな」とは決して言えなかった。
ある程度は打つつもりだからウィーラー、ペゲーロ、今江、銀次、内田を一度に出せるようにペゲーロにＤＨ枠を使ったのだろう。
しかし相変わらず１回から西巻がチャンスを作っても３、４番がこれを潰す。３回に１、２番が作ったチャンスにようやく４番今江がタイムリーで先制。しかしその後もヒットは１、２番。中軸はさっぱりといういつもの展開。
やっぱり上げた価値はなかったか？と思われた内田が２ランホームラン。左でも右でもスライダー投げておけば打たれない内田に何故バッテリーはストレートで勝負したのかは不明。ただストレートが来たのを見逃さず打てたのは認めるべきだろう。あの飛距離は普通の人ではなかなかないし。
そのあとの田中のホームランも意外だった、高めを思わず振ってしまった、というような少し詰まったような打球が伸びてスタンドイン。田中はきわどいボールにバットが止まるので有利なカウントに持っていけているように見える。振っていって「ボールだ」と思ってから止めてハーフスイングを取られないバットの止め方は身体能力が高いという事なのだろう。

さて問題はリードした７回裏の場面、辛島を引っ張らずに青山に変えたのは良い。
ただ、内田を下げて今江をサードに、ってのが解せない。確かに内田よりは今江の方が守備が良い。でも実際に内田に代わって内田の打順に入るのはセカンドに入った三好なのである。
そして９回にホームランを打った内田の打順で三好に回ってくるじゃありませんか！

８回表のクリンナップからの攻撃で追加点を挙げるつもりだったかもしれないが、必ず挙げられるとは限らないし、仮に１～２点入れたって９回の表も点を取る必要はあるじゃない？相手は西武なんだし。
それを７回から２点差で守りに行くという勝負勘のなさといったら酷いもんだ。
そして８回に無得点になったら、西巻を下げて村林を投入。
これってもし２点差を追いつかれて延長になったら西巻の打順では村林が、内田の打順では三好が打つことになるんだけど。もうサヨナラ負けを覚悟した交代としか思えない。育成だったら先発させるべきだし。
西武相手に3点差で守備固めして逃げ切ろうという安易な考えは現在の中継ぎ抑え事情をまともに把握していない事からきているのではないだろうか。
逆転サヨナラ負けには嶋も大きく関係しているように見えるのだが、それは明日書くことにしたい。
