何故に送りバントで茂木勝負なのか

やはり榎田を攻略できなかった。得点はアマダーのソロ２と田中のソロのみ。対左でも敢えて出した左バッターがほとんど仕事できず。今江がしぶとくヒット、渡辺と嶋は球数を投げさせようとする意図は見えたので右バッターは比較的対応できたのかも。

辛島は山川とメヒアにしか打たれていなかった。なので６回をまかせるのは仕方ないが２アウトで山川と勝負する必要があったのだろうか。山川にはヒットとホームラン、とこの日は一度も抑えていないし外崎は完全に抑えていたのだ。打たれて慌てて青山を回マタギで出すくらいなら山川を歩かせて外崎に青山を当てればよかったのになあ。

しかし、それでも１点勝っているのである。しかし１点では負けているのも同じ西武戦。どうしても追加点が欲しいのはわかる。ただ嶋が出て田中に送りバント？
昨日からホームラン２本打っているのに。ま、左打席だったこともあるのか。でも昨日は左でも右安打っているけど。
けれど送って茂木勝負っていう根拠がわからん。得点圏打率は誰もが知っているだろうし今は７月２２日だというのに今月の安打は５本なのだ。

１、田中三振で１アウト１塁で茂木
２、田中ゲッツーで２アウトランナーなしで茂木
３、田中送って１アウトランナー２塁で茂木か島内どっちかに賭ける

で、島内に期待して３だったのかもしれない。

まあ、そもそも、ここまで打てない茂木をなんで２番レギュラーに固定しているのかも謎ではある。今日なんかは渡辺ショートとか藤田ショートとか村林ショートとか選択肢はあっただろう。
ただ平石代行になってからは前ほど茂木オンリーな姿勢ではないように思う。
以前はリードした最終回だけ三好を送った。つまり守備に難があることは認めながら打撃に期待していたということだ。
昨日はどうしても点が欲しいところで茂木には代打渡辺を出して当たった。同じように早い回に代打を出されて交代したり４回で三好に交代させられたこともある。つまり打撃のほうも以前よりは期待していないように思えるのだ。
なのにどうして今日は茂木に託すような作戦だったのか？
普通なら誰もが送りバントしてから茂木に代打舛田！と考えないだろうか？舛田は前回ヒースから完璧なホームランを打っているのである。

※ここからはまったくの妄想です
平石代行は梨田さんより球団の言いなり度が高いということは多分当たっているでしょう。
しかし、それなりに独自性も出しています。その一環で茂木の起用度がやや落ちて怒られたんじゃない？と。つまり球団としてルーキーイヤーのブレイクで「茂木は状態がどうでもショートで上位打順スタメンは絶対よ！」という取り決めがされて、その制約は破ると怒られる、とかあるんじゃないかと。なのでわざと茂木勝負にした！とか？

だって昨日も今日も守備で三遊間の深いところとか、二塁側に打球が飛ぶと、ふんわり送球しかできないのは確かなのだ。肘の影響があるのだろうが身体能力的に無理なのは誰もがわかっているのではないか。ならばコンバートへ向けて何か始めるとか、本当に適性があるのか無いのか二軍戦にも出ずに一か月くらい調整するとかやっててもおかしくないのでは。
そもそも手術明けでリハビリするかしないかでキャンプなしで実戦に入ったことからも「１番ショート茂木」ありきで進めた可能性は高いと思う。まあ、調整させるつもりでも三好が思ったより代役になれないので機を逸した感は否めないが。去年の数字から見れば明らかに何かがおかしいのだし、それは精神的なものではないのだろうから期間を与えてやればいいのになあと思う。やればできる選手というのではなく既に実績を残した選手なんだから。

ということで平石代行は強引にでも茂木を調整させるように球団にかけあってくれればいいのに、と思うのだ。３週間くらいなら三好と村林でも文句は言わないようにしようと思う。
あくまで妄想ですけどね、はは。
