コーチの更迭は何を意味するか

昨日は録画を見終わった時点である疑問について書こうと思ったのですが、コーチ入れ替えを知って複雑な状況であるなあ、と思って記事アップを断念したわけであります。なお、こうした「ですます調」で書くか「である調」で書くかはその日の気分次第なのです。時間がない場合は文字数を少なくするために、ついつい乱暴口調になるです。お問い合わせがあったので念のため。

さて昨日の試合の疑問はひとつ、勝つ気ないの？ということです。
一般的に９月ころの天王山と呼ばれる試合とか日本シリーズで大手かけられている試合とかで先発投手が４回１０安打５失点してたら代えなくね？という感想。
その後６回まで無失点だったのは結果論であり危ない場面も多かった上、前回も５回以降に打ち込まれているわけですよ。
何故代えなかったか？といえば答えは一つで「リリーフがいなかったから」だと思われます。移動日が一日あるので勝ち継投を使うにしても逆算すると松井、ハーマン、福山でも６回までは投げさせる必要があります。青山を使っても５回まで。負け継投の釜田は前日４６球、菅原は３２球投げてますし共に失点６、失点３と西武には打ち込まれているのです。となると何故に中継ぎを一人昇格させておかなかったのか？という疑問が残るわけですね。
外野手と違って投手は調子良い人がけっこういます。美馬が同行しているので再登録されるのでしょうし、塩見、古川、森など防御率１点台の投手を一時的にリリーフに持ってくることは可能でしょう。しかし足りないとわかっていながら上げないというのは「ま、今日は絶対に勝たなくてもいいや」という意思があったのではないかと。

そこで高須コーチと立石コーチを、栗原、マキシ両コーチと入れ替えと言うニュース。これ、さすがに昨日負けた後で突然に三木谷さんが「許せないからコーチ入れ替えだ」と電話した訳ではないでしょう。事前に「３月末日をもって～」とか「もし３月最終カード負け越しなら」とか予告があったのではないかと思われるのです。だとすれば「んじゃあ、負けちゃって入れ替えしてもらった方がいいかも」と判断したのでは？とか、あくまで想像ですが思ったりしたのです。
というのが更迭された高須、立石は梨田さんが連れてきた派ではないように思ったもので。逆にマキシさんは梨田さんが連れてきたように聞いています。誰が誰派なのかはよく知りませんが元楽天OBは梨田さんや星野さんとは関係なく球団が入れたのではないかと思うのです。
例えば選手として実績のない平石氏、塩川氏などは星野さんが見込んだとは思えないのです。鉄平さんなどOBをジュニアコーチや二軍コーチに起用するのは球団としての温情とも思えますが一軍の中枢に据えるのはフロントの政治的な人事と感じてしまうのです。特に塩川氏などは３５歳。生涯で７０安打ほどでアマのコーチ経験もなく一軍戦略内野コーチ。年上で実績もある渡邊直人選手などはどう思っているのでしょうか。もちろん世界でも競技で実績がゼロの人が良い指導者になっている例も多いでしょう。ただ現役の選手がどれだけ受け入れる状態にあるかという問題は残ります。平石氏に関しても梨田さんは池山氏を二軍にやって平石氏を一軍にしてくれとは言ってないように思えます。
となると、今回の人事はフロントと梨田さんが話し合ったうえで折り合いをつけた、という感じではなかったのか？と。
監督解任にはまだ早いけれども何もしないという訳にはいかない、というフロントの意思が見えるような気がするのです。
野手が打てない、野手にエラーが多い→打撃コーチと内野守備コーチを更迭、というわかりやすい人事。ある意味、そっぽをむきつつあるファンのガス抜きの意味もあるような。このままでは球団の経営に大きな損害をもたらすのは確実ですからね。

ま、もちろん、ド素人が考えた事ですし何の根拠もない妄想に過ぎないのですが。
いずれにしてもコーチが変わって明日から急に打ち出したりエラーがなくなったりすることはないでしょう。問題があったとすればキャンプ当初からのメニューや指導の時からでしょうからね。ただ方針や選手起用などが変われば違いが出るかもしれません。
優勝はともかく３位は絶望ではないと思えば期待してもよいのではないでしょうか。
