今江はガム噛むのやめろ！

ガム噛みながら良いプレーをする選手っているのだろうか？
断っておくが野村監督のように茶髪や髭やガムは「神聖なグラウンドに～」とかの精神論ではない。しかしながら大谷選手を見ていれば、髪染めたりガム買ったりする以前にトレーニングしろよ！と言いたくなる。だって普通の仕事だって私生活上での勉強や訓練はしている訳じゃない？野球に人生を賭けている人が満足な成績も出せないのに髪を染めるのに時間を費やす、という姿勢なら金もらわないで趣味でやって欲しい、というのが感想だ。

そしてガム。
ＭＬＢの選手がガムや噛みタバコをやってるから、という理由で始まったのかも。しかしスポーツ中にガムをかむという事が正当化されたのはいつなんだろう。サッカー日本代表がガム噛んでて非難されたこともあった。

しかし「ガムを噛むとリラックスできるから」とかいう言い訳は数十年前にロッテあたりが宣伝で拡げたデマではないのか？
では、フィギュアの羽生選手がガム噛みながら４回転ルッツを飛んだか？ウサイン・ボルトが１００メートルで世界記録を出した時にガム噛みながら走っていたか？内村航平が金メダル取った瞬間にガム噛みながら着地してたか？
答えはＮＯだ。
そもそもスポーツは酸素取入れが大事。つまり呼吸が大事なのであって運動中に口の中に物を入れて噛むなんて良いわけないじゃない！

今江は辛島が踏ん張って牽制でほぼアウトにしようといたところを悪送球で進塁させた。酷く雑なプレイ。本人はセーフになって、「てへ、ぺろ」みたいに薄ら笑いしてガムをクチャクチャ。いや、これは試合を左右する重大なプレイじゃね？

しかし「裏目に出た」とか擁護できる采配じゃないな。
銀次を外してペゲーロを外したのは良い。
ただペゲーロを外したことによってスタメンになる外野は「左だから八百板じゃね？」とか安易な決め方ではなかったか。八百板は打席では「一軍では通用せず」という舞い上がった感じ。しかし何故、送りバントの場面でそのまま八百板を送ったか。あそこは何としてもランナーを進めるために確実なバントが必要であったはず。緊張からか前に飛ばせない八百板でなく渡辺とかをＰＨで出せなかったか。

釜田がなんとか凌いだのに継投した高梨を引っ張ったのも不思議。上林を四球で歩かせ、柳田がエラーで出て右の内川。右にはかなり打たれている高梨は何故続投なのか。内川に死球を出したのにもかかわらず何故、右の松田にも続投なのか。打たれて菅原では対処が遅すぎる。
そして首脳陣は結果論、と言うだろうが何でウィーラー４番にこだわるのか。確かに去年の例を見れば「いずれは打ちだす」のだろうが何も４番に固定しなくといいじゃない。試合を左右するエラーもしやがったけど別にスタメン落ちさせろと言うのではなく打順を下げればいいじゃん。かたくなに４番で起用するのは「我慢」ではなく「未練がましい」と言うのである。

ま結論としては

野球選手はガム噛むんじゃねえ！

ということ。三好選手もクチャクチャやってるけど辞めたら一流選手になると思う。根拠は…ないけどね！
