アマダベンチにしてまで岡島を

驚いたのがアマダースタメン落ち。え？ここ二試合はヒット無かったけど安打数はチーム上の方の６本。そして、そのかわりに入っていたのが岡島だったので呆れてものも言えなかった。

ほとんどの打者が打てなくて苦しんでいるのに、よりによって長打を打つアマダーを引っ込めてまで岡島起用ってどんな意味があるのか。
岡島がピッチャーゴロを打って何度も申し訳なさそうな表情で一塁まで走った姿を見ると哀愁さえ感じてしまいますなあ。

もちろん、四球を二つも選んだのだから監督も大満足な事でしょう。岡島は中田に相性が良いから、起用したと言う話ですが、じゃあどうして最後にサファテに相性が悪いペゲーロで勝負したのか？要は理由は後付けだろうと。それにしても、そこまででして岡島出したいのなら、せめてオコエと交換してほしいもんだ。3人しかいない長距離砲を岡島出したさにベンチ要員にする神経がわからん。

さて池田は素晴らしい立ち上がり。球速も前回とは違って１４７ｋ、それにスライダーやカーブを織り交ぜましたから簡単には打たれませんでした。しかし解説でも言われていましたがランナーを出してセットポジションになるとストレートが浮いて球速は下がる。ランナーいるのにストレートが１３８ｋしか出ないのでは失点する可能性が高い。前回はまさにそのパターン。何度か先発をすると思われるので、この辺りを修正してほしい。

ようやく銀次らしい当たりが戻りつつあるのでは？ヒットは二本ともボールを強く叩いた球足の速い打球。本来はこういう打撃をして難しいボールに対してだけ「内野の後ろへポテン」ヒットにしていたような気がする。最近はそれが逆だったような気がしていた。来週からの２カードで一試合２本くらい打つようなら、ほぼ復調と言えるのではないか。

今江の今シーズン最高潮は昨日で終わったのではないか。ベースからかなり離れていたワンバウンドのスライダーを追いかけて三振。バット投げてまで振るボールじゃないじゃん！もうひとつは、やはり外角に逃げるスライダーに目いっぱい体を伸ばしてスローな空振りで三振。なんだかワザとやってるとしか思えないスイングだった。今年は賞味期限が切れたんですね。

福山はなんであんなに続投させたんでしょうか。松田のタイムリーは仕方ないでしょう。信頼があるから。しかし続けて上林にもタイムリー打たれた段階で「今日はよくない」と降板させるのが普通では。ただ黙ってみていて甲斐にとどめのタイムリー打たれちゃバカじゃねえのと思う。

さて最終回。なんとかなるかも！という淡い期待があった。むろんそれは８回に集中打で３点取っていたからこそではあるが。本当ならば８回１アウトからウィーラーとペゲーロが凡退しなければ追いついての９回だったかもしれないんだけど。
渡辺直人がサファテから粘りに粘ってライト前にタイムリー。最低でも進塁打と言う右打ちの職人芸は彼は一軍で必要とされていると証明した形になったのでは？
そして緊張する場面で一発で送りバントを決めた藤田は今日もオコエの代打で出場して良いヒットを出している。使い出があるベテランと言えよう。
そしてお膳立てしてもらって、犠牲フライ、スクイズ、前進守備を抜く内野ゴロのどれでも同点と言う美味しいシチュエーションが大の苦手の島内。ヘロヘロでスイングに力なく浅いセンターフライで得点ならず。

そして極めつけはサファテとペゲーロの勝負
みなさんはペゲーロが打つと思っていましたか？
どうせ三振だろうと思ってました。データと相性を起用に反映させるならば何故サファテから一本も打ってないペゲーロをそのまま打たせたのでしょうか。ベンチにはまだ三好もいましたしね。ペゲーロは粘りはしましたが空振り三振。多くの方の予想通りだったでしょう。だって

ペゲーロは早い球は打てない

という素人でも知っている事実があるから。かろうじて逆方向に単打で打ち返せるのは真ん中から外角の低め。ワンバウンドするくらいの落ちる球も空振り。そして真ん中、内角、外角の高め速球はほぼ空振りする。ということはさすがに去年から各球団でわかっていただろう。

なのに去年２６本、今年は１本なんで打てるの？と思うだろう。ストレート高めに３球投げていけば良いものを、「直球だけではダメ、必ず緩急つける変化球を混ぜる」という常識に囚われすぎて、ご丁寧にも一球くらいは変化球を投げてくれるからである。千賀だってフォーク投げたから打たれたのであって、全部ストレートなら三振だっただろう。

今後は全チームが高めストレートだけの攻めで来るだろうし苦手コースの克服はそう簡単にはできない。となるとペゲーロは今後ＮＰＢには通用しない選手になるという可能性があるような。無論143ｋとかはストレートでも打てるだろうが、各球団の抑えクラスの１５０ｋ超えは三振の山かもしれないですねえ。
