３５島内、５５００マンに不満

島内の契約更改が終わりますた。２３００万円アップの５５００万円で不満があったと要ったそうですね。これは無理がないかな、と。今年の聖沢は、昨年の成績で５０００マンもらっていたわけですから打率はともかく「生え抜き二けた本塁打」を達成したうえで全試合出場なら６千万はいくとおもってたんじゃないでしょうか。これじたいは悪い事ではなく、自分で価値があると思うなら何度でも戦うべきだと思いますが。

ただ島内の印象はただ一言

もの足んねえ

ですね。

誰も打てない投手からホームラン打ったりと意外性のあるバッターではありますが、意外性と評されるという事は「普段は打たない」という意味でもあるわけで。
きっと去年のオフに身に着けたレフト方向への飛距離の落ちないホームランは見事でしたが多くはソロだったと思います。つまりランナーがいるときには何故か委縮したようになって凡打が多く、ランナーがいないときばかり帳尻合わせのように打ったりするという典型的チャンスに弱いバッターでもあるわけですね。過去の有名なサードベースから楽な外野フライでタッチアップできなかったときに「今江さんが隠して見えなかった」と言ったように肝心なところでの判断力が欠けているのと関連性があるかもしれません。

事実、好調と思われている時でも３番に据えられると何もできない、というケースも多く「土壇場での仕事」に関しては非常に弱い気がしてしまいます。どうしてか。そういう時は上から目線で投手を見る余裕もなく、おどおどして三振だけをしないようにしているように見えるのです。
普通に考えて打撃への期待度と言えば
茂木＞ウィーラー＞銀二＞ペゲーロ＞アマダー＞島内＞岡島
というくらいの順列でしょうか。やはり１番や３番はふさわしくないと言えるのかも。
島内は2013でレフトのレギュラーを取っていましたが前のボールに突っ込んで左ひじを怪我。このリハビリが長くなって今年までは一人前扱いはされていなかったでしょう。そのせいか外野手としての肩は非常に弱いように思えます。また守備でも守備範囲が狭いわけではないのですが打球判断とダッシュで追うスピードが秋山らと比べると数段下がる感じが。
ソフトバンク戦で柳田に打たれたセンター前サヨナラタイムリーになったのも、柳田や秋山は、もう少し打球反応の良い野手なら捕れたいたかもしれません。
いちおう、俊足も武器とは言われていますが、肉体改造を行った年から、やけにドタドタそして遅くなったように見えます。本人は長打の方を優先したのでしょうが。

個人的に言えば来年あたりがピークかと。こういう事言うと島内ファンは怒るでしょう。でも島内があと数年でNPBの代表になれるくらい打撃も守備も上手くなって将来はＭＬＢにいけるくらいになると思ってますか？ないでしょう？
なのでオコエとか岩見とかポテンシャルが凄い人が慣れてくれるまでの間だけポジションを守ってくれればいいと思うわけですよ。ただ、今年は狙う機会の少なかったほーむらんを量産して２０本以上うったりすれば立場もまた変わってきますけどね。

島内に関してはやけに「生え抜き二けたホームラン」を重視する人がいますが、そんなのたいした事じゃないでしょう？いなかったのがおかしいのであって。
というのは楽天のような弱いチームは要の主砲タイプの人は我慢して使えない。中川だって打率は.２１３だったかもしれないけどホームランなら２０は打ったかもしれない。「はえぬき」ってのは若手なわけで、若手を我慢して使えない楽天の体質が「はえぬき二けたホームランなし」というものを生んでいたのだろうと思われる。

来年も島内は外野のメイン選手からスタートするだろう、しかし今年のライバルはぱっとしない聖沢。これは来期もダントツで勝つだろう。ペゲーロは特殊だけど島内はライトはできない。となるとオコエ、岩見との競争になるだろうが、調整後のオープン戦で長打を見せることができればレギュラーは近いんじゃないでしょうかね。
