33番　銀次は首位打者になれるのか？

今日は銀次特集です。
銀次が一軍に出始めた頃はともかく、日本一以降は楽天最高のアベレージバッターと思って居る人がおおかったのではないでしょうか。たしかにそうなのです、その打撃を生かすためサードにサンチェスがいればファースト、サードにウィーラーが入って、今江も来たのでセカンド。
守備に関しては複雑な連携プレイを瞬時に判断できる知恵はないようですが、今年にしても久しぶりのセカンドをエラーなしで乗り越えました。そして本職のファーストでは暴投に近いショートバウンドの送球をなんなく取ってアウトにするなど、球際に強い運動能力の高さをみたような気がしました。

今年の銀次の成績は.293でリーグ５位。これはなんか納得できるんですが得点圏打率が.369でリーグ２位ってのを聞くと「そんなにチャンスで打って喜ばせてくれたかあ？」という疑問がわいちゃうわけですね。むろん得点圏というチャンスの分母が多い、少ないもあります。またセカンドランナーがアマダーでヒット打ったけどホーム帰還できない場合も「得点圏で打った」という扱いになるのだとすれば、確かにアタシらからすれば嬉しい思いはデータよりは少ないはずです。
つまりは５番という打順がアレだったのではないかとも思え。多くは５番だったと記憶していますが前はウィーラーが多く、セカンドから１ヒットで帰ってくる確率は他の俊足ランナーよりは低いでしょう。ましてやアマダーならなおさら。茂木やペゲーロがランナーに居るときは大量得点の場合か３、４番が凡退して２アウトというケースでしょう。島内が３番に入ると６番は聖沢、岡島あたりでしょうから敬遠まではしなくとも甘いボールが一球も来ない事も多かったんじゃないすかね。
先日のテレビで来期は二けたホームラン狙うと言ってました。あの年で肉体改造なんてやったら致命的なケースもあるので心配ですが、敢えて狙う場面を増やそう、ということでしょう。今年のホームランも狙って打ったと言ってたので、狙えば入ることもあるのでしょう。きっと、ホームラン狙いで定位置フライになるよりは内野手の頭を超えるシングルヒットを打つことが自分の役割と割り切ってやっていたのかもしれません。
ホームランは仮に増えなくとも外野の間を抜いたり頭を超える２ベースが増えてくれば上出来だと思います。守備位置は来期も固定されないような気がしますがバントも練習して２番あたりでどうなんでしょうか。ま、盗塁はできないすけどね。
ただ、毎年やや不調になると若いころと違って考え込んでドツボにはまるとも言われています。調子の上下がないように３割打てればチームの位置も上がるだろうと思います。
来期からは長打も狙うとはいってますが、銀次の前と後ろにどれだけ長打のあるバッターを揃えられるかにかかってくるかもしれません。
