美馬の好投で辛勝

なかなか緊迫した試合が続きました。
美馬は今日も好調で初回から３凡でスタートしましたが相手の野村もさすがのピッチング。
試合が動いたのは3回。嶋が悪いカウントから戻して四球を選ぶ。茂木が見事にライト前２ベースヒットで１アウト２、３塁のチャンス。ここで頼みのペゲーロは初球を打ちあげて浅いセンターフライ。ま、小技を期待しちゃだめですね。続く岡島はこれまた打ち上げて平凡なセンターフライ。点が入りません。

一方、広島はヒット、送りバントでランナー２塁。ここで広島の４番鈴木が外角のボールを泳ぎながらもセンターフェンスまで運ぶタイムリー３ベース。このあたりで何か嫌な気がしました。野村相手に１点なんて簡単に獲れませんからねえ。

しかし７回の先頭打者アマダーが野村の初球を強振して左中間スタンドに入る同点ホームラン。彼を７番にしていたのが功を奏居た感じ。ランナーに出ても邪魔なので、こういう個人で完結する打撃が似合うと思われ、その点７番というのは思わぬ時に打ってくれることになるので正解なんじゃないかと思います。
「さっさと二軍幽閉しろ」という意見が多いのは知っていますが、アマダーを擁護するのにはわけがあります。最下位が既に決まっていた去年の９月にアマダーは再登場しました。今更かよデブが、とも思いましたが。しかしペゲーロとのアベックホームランや１試合２ホーマーなどの活躍を見せ楽天９月の勝利に大変に貢献しました。特に１本打たれていて相手投手が警戒してかなり低めに投げた球をすくい上げてスタンドまで放り込んだパワーは忘れられません。当時の状況から、長距離打者がいないのがネックでしたから、「来年この二人がいれば勝てる！」と思ったからでしょう。なので、うてない状況が続くようならさすがに一軍では…とも思いますが２０くらいは打つと思うので見限るにはまだ早いかなという思いがあるのです。

さて試合に戻しましょう。
その後、両投手が頑張ってあまり互いにチャンスらしきものがありません。しかし８回表に松山に四球を与えました。ピンチランナー野間が警戒をかいくぐって盗塁成功で１アウト２塁。ここで西川が前進守備の外野を抜けようかと言う大きなフライを打つも。センター島内が懸命に背走してギリギリでキャッチ。このプレイはすごかったです。美馬の投球、アマダーの同点弾、茂木のヒットと走塁、ペゲーロの勝ち越しタイムリーと共に、今日の勝因のひとつと言えることは間違いないでしょうねえ。

さて８回の裏の楽天の攻撃。嶋は三振。しかし茂木が内角チェンジアップを叩いてライトへヒット。しかし１塁ですからペゲーロがホームラン打つか、次のウィーラーが還す形しかないと思いました。ペゲーロが自分でもファウルかと思ったらしい当たりは切れずにレフト線内に落ちてフェンスまで転がります。レフトはクッションボールをすぐに捕って送球。この後、やっとサードベースあたりがテレビに映ったのですが、その付近に居るはずの茂木がいません。一瞬、セカンドで止まったのか、と思ったほどでした。カメラが少し引くと茂木は既に半分ほどはホームベース寄りの位置で走ってたので驚きました。あまりに想像したより速すぎる。この好走塁が生んだ１点と言ってもよいでしょうねえ。マキシコーチも今年は攻めの姿勢でコーチャーボックスに入っているようです。良い送球が来たら写真判定くらいのタイミングではありましたが。

しかし、あれだけ打つ広島打線をほぼ完全に抑えた美馬はたいしたもんです。昨日までは楽天も含めて誰も抑えられなかったバティスタも完全に抑え込んでましたし。新井を三振にとったときなど、計算づくでボール球を使うなど自らカウントを不利にしても余裕があるのはコントロールに絶対の自信があるからでしょう。
明日の岸も同様に最少失点でいって打線の援護を待ってほしいものです。

尚、本日、選手の入れ替えがありましたが、それに関しては月曜日にでも書く予定です。
