青山はいなくなれ
そしてＦＡするかどうかで注目もされていたわけですね。
考えてみれば前回、メジャー志望とかいう話が出た時も、けっこう多くのファンが「勝手にいけよ！いらねえし！」とか思っていたような気もします。
どうなんすかね？青山に良い印象を持っている人ってけっこういるんでしょうか？
確か月間ＭＶＰ貰った年も、交流戦明けに炎上してファンをがっかりさせたような記憶も。
むろん、わかってはいるんですよ。
２イニングくらいは余裕でいけますし、連投だってまだまだ平気。しかもイケメンだというので女性ファンも多いみたい。
あちこち痛いとか故障で抜けることもなく、けっこうなイニングを年間で投げているわけです。
だから個人的には敗戦処理的な意味合いなら文句はないんですねえ。言っておきますが敗戦処理ってのは、「ほぼ負けね」という場面でバンバン打たれても良い投手じゃありません。野球は何があるかわかりませんから、何とか相手打線を抑えて自チームの奇跡の猛打を待つというのが本来の姿のはずです。
そして、仮に味方打線が最後まで打てなくとも、点差を広げさせることなく見ているファンを投げやりにさせないという役割もあると思うのですね。
青山は意外とこれができています。大差で負けていて登板することもありましたが、横山や古川、小野といったように炎上して「ええかげんにせいよ！」という場面はあまりなかったかな。
でも、ここぞ！という場面で出された時は、四球をだしがちで次には入れに行って痛打を浴びる。
クローザーに定着しなかったのもここらへんですかね。
これは個人の記憶の範囲でしかないのですが、「いや！青山がいれば大丈夫！どんなピンチでも抑えてくれるもん！」とか思ったことないもんなあ。いつも「また、打たれんじゃね？」とか不安ばかり。
今期の悪い時はとにかく球が遅かったと思います。いや、投手は球速だけじゃないというのは承知してますが。青山の場合、ストレートを決め球にするタイプではない。そして外角低めのストレートで見逃し三振するタイプでもない。ストレートを見せ球にしてスライダーな投手じゃない。
その見せ球が130ｋ台という事が多くて、狙い撃ちされてたよね。そしてスライダーも打たれていた。これはストレートとの球速差がなかったためではないかのう。
後半、ファームから上がってきたときはストレートが145ｋは普通、１４９ｋなんてのもあって、けっこう良い投球をしていた。
しかし他球団の「切り札」とは言えないリリーフを見た場合に青山は、そんなにひどい方じゃない。ＦＡすれば年俸はともかく獲るところはあっただろうなあ。
どうして自分でも青山が出てくるとテレビを消したくなるのかわからないけれど、福山とかと比べれば、ムキになって向かっていく姿勢が見られないからかな。別に打たれて泣けとは言わないけれど。「別におれのせいじゃないもん」的な表情が損をさせているんだと思う。
でも青山って他チームのセットアッパーのように年間通して無双したことはないんだよなあ。中継ぎのくせに負け数がすげーおおいんだもん、だからアンチ青山は、彼を信用できないのだと思うな。
来期も初めからそれなりに起用される思うけど、古川とか宮川、小野の調子が良い場合は、二軍幽閉もありだと思います。だって、ＮＰＢの中継ぎベスト１０には絶対入らないし、何度もファンを落胆させているんだからね。
さすがに来期の成績いかんによっては放出あると思っています。
