左右病ってどうなの？今日の楽天予想

相手が左投手だから右打者を並べるとか、その逆なんかは今でも頻繁に行われていると思う。でもこれってどうなんだろうか。左打者に対して左のワンポイントとか。大昔からプロ野球やってきて今もあるってことは科学的データがあるとか、根拠があるんだろうか。
だって銀次は右左関係なく出場するし。糸井だってそうだ。一定の技術を持っている選手の場合は適用しないのかね。たしかに個人差と言うか、ある左打者は左投手が苦手で打てないということはあると思う。球の出所が右とは違うわけだしクロスファイヤ気味に外に逃げたりするから打てなかったり。松井秀樹が阪神遠山を苦手にしていたのは有名な話だ。でも、それなら右打者だって背中側から変化球が曲がって外へと逃げていくのは変わらないし「オレ、右打者だけど、右投手打てない」とかいうのは聞いたことがない。右投手が多いからそういう人はお払い箱になるのかもな。

やっぱり慣れの問題かなあ。野球は高校で始めるという例は少なく、みんなレベルはどうあれ子供の頃からやっていたと思う。で、利き手は圧倒的に右が多かっただろう。今とは違って左利きを矯正した親もいたようだしね。すると多くの右利きは右投げ右打ちになる。打つのは別に左で練習してもできるような気がするけど、この辺は武道というか「剣を振る」ことから来ているような気もする。西洋の剣でもそうだけど右利きの人は剣の塚を持つときバットと同じように右手を上にして握るでしょ？左利きは逆だ。剣道で言う「面」という地面に垂直に斬る時は必ずこの握り方だと思う。西洋の剣もそうだ。これを横振りにしても同じだから、そのままバットスイングになるよなあ。
で、なんで左投手が出てきたかというと、初めは有利だからとかではなくて左利きの人は左で物を投げるからだろう。バッターはいつもの体の向かって左からボールが来るのではなく逆なのでとまどったと思われる。慣れてないということだ。今はどうかわからないけど、昔の草野球にはめったに左投手はいなかった。そして左投手のカーブもストレートも外から内へ入ってくるので慣れるまでは対応が大変だったはずだ。そういう珍しいから打てないという理由でもってこの世の左投手をプロに集めだしたのだろうか。どんなに数がすくなくとも、金さえあれば集められるし、現在だって右寄りは少ないけどプロ各球団には左投手がそれなりに在籍している。

一方、左バッターは左利き以外にも転校して左になったケースも多いようだ。右投げだけど左打ちとかね。バッターボックスがベースに近いという理由かな。右投手の球は外から入ってくるのさえ慣れれば逃げていかないから練習すれば打ちやすいということもあるんだろうか。ともかく大半を占める右投手を打つための左バッターといった感じだ。
右バッターは右ピッチャーを打てて普通とされているのに比べて、左バッターは左ピッチャーを苦手とする場合が多いとされている。右ピッチャーが多すぎる状態でずっと野球をやってきたから右バッターは苦も無く打つのか。それは初めから左バッターをやってきた連中にも共通している。つまり右ピッチャーに対しては左、右、の両バッターは普通に打てるということだよね。
しかし左ピッチャーがすくない環境で野球をしてきたから…とすれば右打者も左打者も対戦回数は同じくらいだろうから慣れてないという意味での苦手度は同じはずだ。あ、でも自分の背中側からボールが入って外へ行く、という場合の対処法は右打者のそれより経験は相当少ないことになるからやっぱり慣れてる度にはかなり違いがあるか。だけどなあ、草野球はともかく、プロなら金に飽かせて左投手なんてじゃんじゃん連れてきて各球団それなりにいるわけだし、練習すれば慣れるんじゃないのかね。ホームラン王とか打点王のレベルだと右左関係ないようだし。
首脳陣の左右病が逆に左右に対しての苦手意識を生み出してんじゃないかしら？例えば楽天に居た左キラー中島選手は左先発のスタメンや左が出てきたときに代打が多かったけど。きっとこれまでの野球人生では右投手も多く打ってきたからプロまでこれたわけでしょ？それをもう左の時しかださなければ右投手への慣れってものはゼロになっちゃうじゃない。
左専用リリーフもよく金刀のように効果ない場合が多いけど。元々左右どちら向きにも投げてきた選手を左専門にするっていうのも、これまでの結果から言っても根拠がないようにおもえるんだよなあ。
相手が右投手だと聞いて、左のスタメンを並べるってのは良く見るけど、負けてることもけっこう多いでしょ？誰か、あ、右とか左とか関係ねえわ、オレ、間違っててわ、とか考え直さないもんでしょうか。ソフトバンクの森福とかはさすがに右バッターなら打てるかもしれないけど左バッターじゃ打てないなあと思うけど、あれは専門家として特殊な例だしなあ。
楽天は、今、中継ぎの左が若い相原しかいないから左に対してのワンポイントやってないけど、やらなくなったら調子いいじゃない？誰か左の安心できる人が戻ってきたら再開するんだろうか。どこの監督もやってるけどさ、優勝できねえ監督がほとんどなんだから、辞めたらいんじゃないか？５０年以上も前に使用してた戦法なんだしさ、今時高校野球から左投手はいるし、左投げバッティングマシンもあるんだからさ。

１番　ライト　松井稼頭央　２戦で一日休みだから。なるべく抜きたくないはずだもんね。１番他にいないしさ
２番　レフト　牧田　　２番として十分な働き、打撃も好調。しばらくは定位置。松井が休養の場合はライトだね。
３番　ショート　後藤　ヒット出てないし、出塁したり、返したり、長打打ったり、の３番ではおかしいけれど、他にいないし、未だに突然の長打だけに期待している感があるよなあ
４番　中川　　ペーニャは戻っていない。ホームランはともかくタイムリーは打てるんじゃないかと。単打でもランナー返すしぶとい打撃に期待
５番　ペーニャ　打ち始めてるからね、打てなくとも守備がないから大きなマイナスにはならない。
６番　ウィーラー　先発が西なんで左の阿部としたいところだけど、長打に賭けてこの人。宝くじに運命を委ねるかの如く。
７番　セカンド　三好　二試合の活躍でラッキーボーイ的。守備も打撃もそつがない。
８番　センター　聖沢　守備、打撃、もどりつつある。後藤と交換で３番の可能性も。
９番　保守　　小関　　怪我しなければ小山は出ないでしょう。

相手はここ三試合で失点が１、２、１の西なので簡単ではないねえ。ここぞの代打がいないことは終盤接戦になるとつらいかもしれない。
