渡辺佳、溺愛はみっともない

スタメンを見て勝つ気がないのかと思った。先日、今日も辰巳はスーパープレイでチームを救った。守備面ではオコエを凌ぐことは間違いない。ただ、打撃は左右どちらでも駄目。前回打ったのってソフトバンク戦で高橋礼から打ったホームラン＋1安打くらいでしょ？あとはまともに当てられない。
そして渡辺佳。昨日は左なのにスタメンだったが対左が一割台だと知ってんのか？途中で引っ込めたが。得点圏４割と言うが規定打席に達していないし、ここ６試合ではソフトバンク戦のタイムリー以外は相手エラーっぽい内野安打一本とまるで打てていない。
チャンスに強いから、とか昔の話だろう。打率も下がって230.の選手を慣れないライトでスタメンを続けるのはもはや神頼みのオカルトの世界だ。
点にはからまなかったが３点取られた回のライト前ポテンヒットは普通の外野手ならスライディングなしで捕れた。一瞬迷って立ち止まったからヒットになったのだ。むろん、本人が悪いのではなくいい加減な練習量でユーティリティーとか言って起用するほうが間違っている。
辰己を守備優先で使うならライトはオコエだろう。
そもそも西武と違って銀次までで点を取らなければ終わり。6.、７．８．９が自動アウトなのだ。相手も楽だろうよ。

GMと監督が選手起用で揉めたとかいう話も聞いたが、渡辺佳や島井にこだわりすぎるのが平石監督で下水流６番や福井先発、和田の常時一軍起用を強要したのがGMなら、どっちもどっちである。自分が気に入っている選手より「今、調子のよい選手」を起用して、お気に入りでも非情に二軍行きを命じられる人がいいんではないか。
その点、平石監督は実績ある選手には及び腰の印象。今日も１点でサヨナラなんだからメヒアと勝負する必要はまったくなかった。後の木村は不調だし、秋山だって何とかなったかもしれない。松井としてはあれだけ打たれていえればリベンジしたいに決まっているから「歩かせろ」と言えば気を悪くするのは間違いない。だから遠慮して言えないってのはなあ。


明日も渡辺佳や辰巳、ウィーラーを出しているんじゃ点は取れないし、福井は無失点なんて無理だから、いよいよ終戦ってところか。ただ福井３回、辛島、弓削とかつなげば面白いかもしれない。やっぱり野球は打線だなあ。投手が０の抑えても１点取らなきゃ勝てないからね。
