星野さん逝く

あまりにも急な死去でしたなあ。
無論、楽天を日本一に導いた功績はたいしたものですが、それ以上に監督を辞めてからの発言と行動力を楽天にもたらしてくれていたので惜しい、のタダ一言です。
まず、中日、阪神時代からそうですが、あっと驚く大物トレードを成功させてきました。相手にとって信頼すべき人間に見えるんでしょうねえ。

ただ、心配なのは星野さんがいなくなった影響です。星野さんがいたことはチームが好調と言う事もありますが、例のオーナーの口入れなんて跳ねのけていたのではないかと思うんです。彼が抜けた後、佐藤コーチも去り、オーナー監督のチームのようになり、大久保監督時代の外国人も最低の部類でした。
しかし、星野さんが上級職につき、補強からドラフトまでかなり思い切った事をやって去年から今年の成績に繋がったようにも思えます。
無論、彼の連れてきた選手は当たりばかりではありません。AJ,マギーは大当たり。渡辺を押しやってまで獲得した松井稼頭央は日本一の立役者でした。
しかし岩村は年俸分の働きをしたかしないかというレベルではなかったし、今江も二年間はいなくても良い選手と言った感じ。頑なに「オレはいいと思うから使え」とゴリ押しでは困りますが、そういうことはなかったみたいです。
最後の大きな移籍仕事は岸。彼も面談の相手が星野さんでなければ、どうなっていたかわかりません。

一昨年のドラフトも、去年のドラフトも星野さんがメインに見えましたから補強、ドラフト含めて選手獲得に関しては自信を持って全責任をもってやていたのではないかと。特に近年は茂木をはじめとする若い選手がレギュラー化し、徐々にスタメンの平均年齢が若くなってきています。

心配なのは星野さんがいなくなってオーナーとの立場がどうかわるかてことですよね。星野さん最後に監督した時は腰痛で休養がありました。当然、佐藤コーチが代行でしたが数試合負けたら二軍からデーブを持ってくるという始末。これがこのまま翌年からのデーブ政権になるわけです。アノ時を思い出してみましょう。
彼はＦＡＸで来てた（ま、今どきメールだよね）三木谷オーナーの指示に逆らえず操り人形とまで言われました。
そして星野さんが重役としてフロントマンになった時から獲得した外人はオールＯＫ、藤平、茂木、オコエ。どれも失敗してません。
そして、与田コーチを配置返し、わざわざ日本一球団から佐藤コーチを再招聘したのは明らかに星野さんの一存でしょう。アタシは佐藤コーチが来期のキーマンになると思ってんのです。だからなおさら、こういう豊富な人脈や人望に長けている星野さんが急にいなくなることの影響は大きいのではないでしょうか。

想像ですが、これまで星野さんが三木谷さんと会った時に、いろいろ要望や指示を出されても「あんた、野球は素人なんじゃけん、黙っとんさいよ」くらい言って完全に立場が上だったのでないかと。
オーナーを代えなくても上の人が代えてやれば「金は出すけど口は出さない」オーナーはできるのかも。

しかし、今後は梨田監督がそのかけひきをオーナーとやるわけですが、なんか心許ない感じです。言い出したのは誰か知りませんが、あそこでコラレス投げさせる事を承知した監督だし。
長嶋さんにしても王さんにしても国民が認めたスターなら多少は我儘、ゴリ押しが効いて、それがブレイクのきっかけになったりはするのですが。なかなかそういう人はいなくなってきているわけで。今期から梨田さんが暗い顔をして三木谷手書きのスターティングメンバーを読んだりすることはないように願っています。
