侍ジャパン快勝ですか……ふう～ん
昨日腐した山田は先頭打者ホームラン。インパクトは強かっれふとにたけどその後は続かず。菊池と山田の起用法ではなやむでしょうなあ。菊池の打撃と山田の守備を比べると、どうみても菊池なわけで。でもＤＨを山田に固定するとレフトの筒香が守るしかなくなる。どう考えても今日も活躍した平田をライトにして山田をサードか控えにしたほうがよいもの。
石川はスピードがないようなので変化球勝負。カーブ、シンカーのできはまあまあで三振も多く取っていたのではないか？こうなると強い球がメインの則本より打たれる可能性は低いとも思える。ただ最終回に千賀を持ってきたのは正解だったかも。先発じゃないからストレートも153ｋ、でカーブもあって伝家の宝刀フォークもある。これってクローザー確定なんじゃねえか？
対して打線。田中がけっこう頑張ってました、セイヤの代わりを務めてもおつりがくるくらいでしょう。よくなかったのが、坂本（１ヒット）と中田ですなあ。
筒香は２点タイムリー打ちましたし。
問題はキャッチャー。いつから日本のキャッチャーは「一切打てなくともよい」となったのでしょうか。過去のWBCには打てる城島、里崎、阿部なんかがいました。特に阿部や城島は中軸に入って長距離砲として出場したはずです。
で、今日は小林だよ？打とうとする気配すらみえない。普段打撃練習をやる量がたりなかったんだろう。
そもそも日本球界では「捕手は打撃できなくてヨシ！」というような暗黙の了解がある。
だって全国の高校から「我はプロの捕手としてやる才能あるぜ」というドラフト選手が入ると守備だけ教えて打撃は「まあ、バントくらいでいいからあ」なんていいう意識低い指導をやってきたのではないか？
これだけ優秀な選手を高校大学から集めることが可能なのだから「ウチはいくらキャッチャーとして才能があっても、ろくに打てない奴は解雇」とかいう方針だったら違っていたような。捕手の守備は複雑で難しいから、けっこう打てる選手は捕手以外のポジションにコンバートしていった結果がこれなのである。
ドミニカの捕手はすげー鉄砲肩を持っているけれど打率は３割。どこのWBCチームだって捕手は打線のかなめでもある。城島とか阿部とか過去にいた打撃も強い捕手は日本にはいない。
「捕手なんてうたなくていいからね、けけけ」とかいう首脳陣がどこにでもいるのだろう。捕手の才能があって、なおかつ打撃も良いという選手をドラフトしないからである。
西武の森だって打てるのに捕手としては頑として起用しなかった。
だから小林のような捕手が代表で出るのである。彼は捕手として盗塁阻止とかはいいかもしれないけど打撃抜きにしても日本ナンバーワンとは誰も思わないよね。
失敗だったと思う。送りバント先行させて喜んでいるのは世界のレベルじゃないもん。
で、嶋が足の故障が思うように治らずに離脱だと。新たに招集されるチームは「え？今からかよ！」という気持ちでしょうなあ。随分前から休んでたわけだし。もしかすると追加招集を頼むチームを説得できたから、今、公表したのかもしれないけれど。キャンプで練習できてない嶋を７日の本番に使えると思っていたなら危機管理能力がゴミ以下ですな。
そのうえ嶋は唯一打撃が悪くない選手だ。ルーキーのときは非力で内野を越せなかったけど、翌年には随分練習したんでしょう、右打ちなどの技で普通の野手並みに打てるようになっていた。だって３割だってうったもんね。
それに比べると小林は２割未満。巨人ファンは文句言わないんでしょうか。
さて嶋に代わって招集されるのは？住谷、田村、高浜あたりすかね。ライトもできる森だったりすると文字通り打てるキャッチャーだから俄然盛り上がるように思えるのですが。
ま、小久保ジャパンは誰の責任かわからないけれど、対処が遅いよね。
「嶋はキューバ戦までに治ってくれると信じてました」とか言うのだろうか。
